Description:

NGC 300 is a spiral galaxy located about 6 million light-years away in the constellation Sculptor. It is one of the brightest galaxies in the nearby Sculptor Group and is similar in appearance to our Milky Way, though somewhat smaller.

Seen almost face-on from Earth, its delicate spiral arms are rich with young, blue stars, star-forming regions, and pinkish hydrogen nebulae.
